Gov Jay Inslee has announced that as of November 15, 2021, all visitors to events in Spokane, and throughout Washington state, will have to show proof of vaccine against COVID-19. This order applies to all who will be attending Spokane events over the age of 12. This rule will apply to indoor events with an audience over 1,000 people and outdoor events with a crowd over 10,000.
Anyone who is intending to attend a large Spokane event will have to show their vaccine card, a photo of their vaccine card, or proof of a negative COVID-19 test from the last 72 hours.
As of Nov. 8, the Washington Department of Health was reporting that 79.6 percent of people 12 and older have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The state was also reporting that 73.5 percent of the people who live in Washington are fully vaccinated. The hope is that by providing a safe environment for Spokane events, the spread of this deadly disease can finally be slowed.
