The Plywood Production Process

Plywood is a useful tool used in the construction of buildings and homes around the world. We usually have easy access to plywood, but how is it made? In this article, we are going to look at the production process of plywood.

The first step in the process of making plywood, is the acquisition of wood logs. The bark from the logs is then peeled off, and the logs are cut into even pieces.

These log pieces are then cut further, into long, flat pieces of wood, or ribbons.

The ribbons of wood are then dried at a very high temperature to make them into solid pieces. These solid pieces are then put through a machine that will check the moisture content. If the moisture content is good, the pieces of wood can move on to the next step.

At the end of the process the pieces of plywood are painted yellow, giving them the color that we are familiar with. Finally, the process is complete and the boards are ready to be cut further or reshaped, depending on what they will be used for.

Overall, the process of creating plywood is not a complicated one. Instead, it is a simple procedure that produces one of the most important building materials.
