Making custom tee shirts is a cool thing to do! This video will explain how to make your own screen-printed tees!
First, get a screen, a squeegee, and some photo emulsion. Mix the photo emulsion to a nice consistency and pour a little bit on the screen. You don’t need a whole lot, just spread it out with the squeegee. Let it dry in the dark.
Once the emulsifier is dry, turn the lights back on and get to work. Print out the design you created on transparent pieces of plastic, and tape it to the screen. Work quickly as the emulsifier is photosensitive to light.
Set a glass pane as a weight on top of the prints and screen, and use a very bright light to transfer over the design over 30 minutes to an hour. This will get your design set on the screen.
Now lay out your shirt and put the screen with your decal on it. Lay on a good amount of the screen printing ink. Then you squeegee the ink through the screen and onto the shirt and boom, you’re good to go.
